Zinc alloy die casting shortening hole how to "cure"?
Zinc alloy die casting has a wide range of applications, which can be seen in electronic products, communications and other fields. Zinc alloy die casting has developed to today is a relatively mature process, but there are still some areas to improve.
Shortening hole is a defect of zinc alloy die casting process. The small holes in the interior or exterior of die casting parts caused by the shortening of the volume of metal liquid in the condensation process are called shortening holes, which will affect the quality of die casting parts in the subsequent processes, such as bubbling in the external treatment of die casting parts, directly resulting in the abandonment of die casting parts and increasing production costs. So how should zinc alloy die casting shorten hole be treated?
At present, there is no way to completely "cure" this defect, and only reasonable measures can be used to improve it, which can be improved by three methods :
① make the die casting as evenly cooled as possible;
② Improve the pouring system;
③ Reasonable planning of the structure of the die casting, the above method can effectively improve the zinc alloy die casting to shorten the hole problem.
