The difference between die casting mold and injection mold
People often associate die casting mold and injection mold together, in fact, the difference between the two is still very big. By dry die casting, the liquid or semi-liquid metal is filled with the mold cavity at a very high speed and solidified under pressure to obtain the die casting. Generally used in metal materials, and injection molding is the main method of thermoplastic molding, thermoplastic is made of thermoplastic resin, can be repeatedly heated and softened, cooling and curing, is a physical process, reversible, that is, can be recycled plastic, although both need to use mold molding to do products, but although the working principle is not very different, the material is different, The mold used in nature is also different. The following small series will simply tell you the difference between die casting mold and injection mold!
1. The injection pressure of the die casting mold is large, so the requirements for the mold template are relatively high, and it should be relatively thick to prevent deformation.
2. The gate of the die casting mold is also different from the Wang plastic mold, and it should be necessary to do the high pressure of the shunt cone decomposition material flow.
3. The die casting mold does not need quenching, because the temperature in the die cavity is relatively high during die casting, which is equivalent to a quenching, and the injection mold needs to be quenched.
4. Nitriding treatment should be carried out in the cavity of the die casting mold to prevent the alloy mucous cavity.
5. General die-casting mold corrosion is relatively large, the outer surface will generally do blue treatment.
6. The injection mold generally depends on the thimble, the parting type can exhaust, and the die casting mold must open the exhaust groove and the slag collection package.
7. Die casting mold with higher requirements for the parting type, should be the alloy fluidity is much better than plastic, high temperature and high pressure flow material from the parting type flying out of the two will be very dangerous.
8. Compared with the injection mold, the active distribution part of the die casting mold has a larger clearance, because the high temperature of the die casting process will cause thermal expansion, and if the clearance is too small, the mold will be stuck.
