Why is the production accuracy of pressure casting high?
When die casting, it is equivalent to giving a continuous pressure to the metal liquid during the process of metal cooling, so that the metal liquid shrinks when it solidifies, but it will constantly be pressurized, so that the uncertainties generated when the product is cooled are densely covered with pressure, and finally achieve stable and high-precision casting.
1. Pressure casting is a casting process under high pressure. By applying high pressure, the molten metal can be fully filled with the mold cavity, so as to obtain a more uniform and dense casting. Compared with the traditional gravity casting, the pressure casting can reduce the porosity, shrinkage and other defects, improve the density and strength of the casting, thus improving the production accuracy.
2. Pressure casting adopts closed mold, which can avoid the contact between molten metal and the outside air and reduce the occurrence of oxidation reaction. The oxidation reaction will lead to oxide and inclusions on the surface of castings, which will affect the quality and accuracy of castings. The pressure casting with closed die can effectively reduce the oxidation reaction and improve the surface quality and precision of the casting.
3. Pressure casting has a high filling speed and filling pressure, which can quickly fill the molten metal into the mold cavity. The increase of filling speed and filling pressure can effectively reduce the solidification time and solidification shortening of the metal, thus reducing the shrinkage and deformation of the casting, and improving the production accuracy.
4. Pressure casting has a high cooling rate, which can quickly cool and solidify molten metal. Rapid cooling can reduce the growth and formation of metal grains, making the structure of the casting finer and improving the production accuracy.
